Productdetails
Maritime home accessories are all the rage. Small DIY Origami boats, cast in concrete or wax, once combined with seashells and sand, the love of the sea becomes palpable while awakening the desire to go on holiday.
With this high-quality silicone casting mould, you can make three Origami style boats from creative-cement, jewellery concrete, Raysin (casting powder), casting resin or wax. (Not food-safe).

Dimensions of the Origami boats and material requirements:
Small boat: 8 x 4 x 2.9 cm (Raysin 200 about 30 g / creative-cement about 40 g / wax pellets about 16 g)
Medium-sized boat: 12 x 6 x 4.3 cm (Raysin 200 about 100 g / creative-cement about 120 g / wax pellets about 53 g)
Large boat: 16 x 8 x 5.6 cm (Filling quantity: Raysin 200 about 230 g, creative-cement about 260 g / wax pellets about 124 g).

The casting mould is made of high-quality silicone, extremely elastic, dimensionally stable and frost- and heat-resistant (from -40°C to +240°C).

Casting with creative-cement or Raysin casting powder:
Before use, rinse the mould with water. No extra release agent such as oil or the like is required. Thanks to the extremely elastic silicone material, the cast items can be easily demoulded after drying. Clean the mould afterwards with water and some dishwashing detergent; it retains its shape and can be reused.

TIP:
The most suitable paints and media for painting, writing on and adorning are the acrylic paints, e.g. Outdoor Paint, Allround Paint, Ultimate Sheen, Chalky Finish chalk paint, markers, decorative metal and much more.

Candle casting:
Prior to casting, the mould must be clean, dust-free and dry. Use a pointed object to pierce a small hole in the bottom of the silicone casting mould, pull the wick through the resulting hole and tie a knot. Put the mould on a stable, level surface. Secure the wick in the middle with a stick placed on the mould, melt the wax in a bain-marie, dye it if desired and pour it into the mould. Let it dry thoroughly out. Untie the knot on the wick. After demoulding, clean the mould with water and some dishwashing detergent; it retains its shape and can be reused.

TIPS:
The pack does not contain a wick. We recommend ordering a flat wick (item no.31 591 000) together with this pack. Sufficient for several candles.
