    Rediscovery of a forgotten tradition
Papermaking is an ancient craft activity that is currently booming. This is quite understandable since papermaking not only provides very exclusive, individual paper, but is also lot of fun.

    How does it work?
First of all, make a paper pulp. To do this, tear the paper pulp sheets up, pour hot water over torn pieces and mash it. You can also use egg crate or newspaper for the paper pulp. Now add the shredded paper pulp by the spoonful to a plastic washing-up bowl filled with water which is larger than the mould & deckle. The more paper pulp that floats in the washing-up bowl, the thicker your paper will be afterwards. The time has come to add seeds, flowers, fragrance or dye.
To make the paper, dip the mould & deckle into the washing-up bowl, put it in a horizontal position under water and then pick it up. After dripping off, turn the mould & deckle over onto a towel, smooth the paper sheet with a rolling pin and let it dry out.
If you fancy a perfectly imperfect shape, simply leave out the upper part of the mould & deckle and let it overflow when making paper. This results in paper jagged edges, which looks particularly natural.

    Numerous application possibilities
You can use your handmade paper just like normal paper: you can write on it, stick on it or stamp it.
Cards or decorative items made out of homemade paper are one-of-a-kind – a great gift for close friends or just for your own enjoyment.
