Dried flowers as a home decoration: impressive - natural - easy to maintain
Whether it is about Boho look, modern interior look, vintage or contemporary country style, dried flower bouquets, plants and grasses fit any style of furnishing. If you are looking for a natural, environment-friendly home decoration that is also easy to maintain, then the dried flowers are the best option. The dried flowers have a shelf life of several years.
Dried flowers for wedding
The wedding decoration should be romantic. Modern, too. Bridal bouquets or wedding decorations made of dried flowers and dried grasses are a new and above all ecological trend. A bridal bouquet made of dried flowers - individually arranged - will give you many years of enjoyment and will decorate your home for the same length of time. Needless to say that the bouquet does not need to be dried for storage - it is already dry.
What kind of dried flowers do I get?
Our dried flower mixes consist of genuine dried flowers and herbs. The following dried plants are contained in the box: Triticale (a hybrid of wheat and rye), Avena (wild oats), Triticum Linium (Einkorn wheat), wild reed plume, broom bloom, Statice tatarica (sea-lavender), Nigella (fennel flower), gypsophila and hare’s-tail grass. Please take into consideration that the colour and shape of these flower species may vary, because they are natural products.
How to arrange my dried flowers in the best possible manner for optimal effect?
Dried flowers can be showcased individually. The possibilities for decoration are almost limitless. The simpliest solution would be a glass vase. You can also shorten the dried flowers in order to fit in your glass vase and simply put them inside - without water inside, of course.
With metal rings, wooden rings or rings made of bamboo, you can easily create outstanding floral hoops. Use a floristry wire or cord to attach the dried flowers to the chosen ring. You can create quickly amazing dried flower wreaths that you can hang on the front door to welcome your guests creatively. You can also hang these door wreaths on glass doors. Thus, the wreath can be contemplated from both sides.
The dried flowers also look great under a glass dome. Storage jars with a cork lid can also be used as a decorative means. Here you can test your creativity by turning the storage jars upside down. Just insert each dried flower into the cork lid.
You can enhance your dried flower decoration using a special wooden grooved stand. It is fitted with a total of 11 holes into which you can insert single dried flowers. If desired, you can decorate the wooden grooved stand by painting it, gluing something on or by engraving with the woodburning pen.
Dried flowers also look great inside a wooden box with a shaking lid or inside a wooden picture frame with a double pane glass.
Add the finishing touch to your dried flower decoration with a personal message inscribed on a tag adorned with a jute string.
Versatile decoration – all year long
With minimum effort, you can adapt your dried flower arrangement to any season. Spring messengers such as daffodils or tulips in combination with your dried flowers explicitly state the current season. The sunflowers, for example, are ideal for an autumnal decoration.
Simple decorating
As dried flowers – in contrast to freshly-cut flowers - do not need light, they are also great as a decoration in windowless bathrooms or other dark places. It goes without saying that regular watering is out of the question.
How do I look after my dried flowers?
With careful maintenance, the dried flowers will last for several years. Pay particular attention to the following points:
- Do not expose dried flowers to direct sunlight, otherwise their colours will fade more quickly.
- Avoid moist places, otherwise there is a risk of mold and mildew growth.
- In order to avoid humidity penetration and to preserve the colour intensity, spray carefully blossoms, grasses and leaves with hairspray.
- To remove the dust from the flowers, please do not use a damp cloth. Rather shake off the accumulated dust outdoors or blow it away with a hairdryer (set on the low setting).
