Instructions in 7 steps Make a sunburst mirror out of wooden round board and skewers.

Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Ruler, pencil, pair of compasses, underlay for spraying

And this is how it works:

Step 1

Draw a horizontal and a vertical line with a pencil and a ruler in the middle of the wooden board. Use the compass to draw 3 circles from the centre in the following diameters: 6 cm ø, 9 cm ø, 12 cm ø

Step 2

Always apply the adhesive pen to the wooden sticks, not to the wooden board. Glue the wooden sticks subsequently to the wooden board as shown on the picture.

Step 3

Start with gluing the wooden sticks at the largest circle, then at the smallest one and finally at the middle circle. Allow them to dry well out.

Step 4

Prepare the spray can according to the product information, then spray the wooden board with the craft wooden sticks. Spray the wooden ring at the same time. Spray it all 3 times and let the sun mirror always dry for 1 hour between each application.

IMPORTANT: Allow the paint application to dry for 3 days in order to prevent any damage on the back of the mirror when gluing the mirror plate.

Step 5

Apply the adhesive pen to the wooden sticks up to the edge of the wooden board, let the glue dry out for a short time, approx. 5 minutes. Then place the mirror plate on it. Press evenly and slightly on.

Step 6

Apply a thin line to the wooden ring by means of the adhesive pen and put it carefully around the mirror plate. Let it dry out thoroughly, approx. 1 hour.
