Instructions in 7 steps Seagrass rope is flexible and ideal for covering. The stem wires set the shape that will be covered with seagrass rope. This is how a natural tealight candle decoration can be created.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Wire cutters, round needle-nose pliers, scissors, ruler, hot-melt glue
And this is how it works: 1
Step 1
Prepare 4 stem wires, each 20 cm long, using wire cutters. Cut the fifth stem wire to a size of 12 cm. Make a hook on one side of the 12 cm long stem wire by bending it with the round needle-nose pliers.2
Step 2
The 4 stem wires should be placed parallel to each other, fasten them in the middle using the hook of the 5th stem wire, then close the hook with the round needle-nose pliers.Hint: To wind the seagrass rope around, an odd number of stem wires is required - in this instance, a total of 9 stem wires.

Step 3
First fold out the stem wires, then spread them out in a star shape and secure them in place at the junction point (where the seagrass rope starts to be wound) with the thin stub wire to prevent them from slipping.4
Step 4
Start by winding the seagrass rope from the inside outwards until reaching a diameter of 6 cm.5
Step 5
Bend the stem wires at right-angles with the round needle-nose pliers and continue winding the seagrass rope until reaching a height of about 4.5 cm.6
Step 6
Thread the 9 wooden beads onto each stem wire, then bend the protruding end of each stem wire inwards with the round needle-nose pliers. Cut the seagrass rope from inside.7
