Instructions in 6 steps Cut out the respective pieces out of cork and felt according to the cutting pattern. They are easily and precisely sewn together with the sewing machine.

Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Sewing machine, thread

And this is how it works:

Step 1

To start with, use the cork material and textile felt to create the cuttings. The cuttings include the seam allowance.

Step 2

Position the cork inside facing along the rounding onto the “Cork Reverse” cutting part, with the inner sides facing each other. Sew the cork inside facing to the 3 outer edges, keeping close to the edge.

Step 3

Then sew the cork front part to the textile felt cutting (the bottom edges are lying on one another). Sew on the handmade label by hand.

Step 4

Now you can place the textile felt with the sewed on cork, the second textile felt cutting and the cork reverse side on top of one another and sew these together along the outer edges.

Step 5

In a final step, fixate the cork band so that the cover (the flap) fits inside and, with a few hand-sewn stitches, sew it firmly onto the reverse side of the mobile case.

Tip

If you would like to add a personal touch to your mobile case, you can add your special decorating touches. For instance, it can be decorated using a stamp or with Hotfix rhinestones.
