Instructions in 7 steps Shape the round magnets by casting them and you will get that way very individual concrete magnets.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Vessel to stir the cement, cooking oil, brush, colour for painting (e.g. DecoArt all purpose paint, Chalky Finish)
And this is how it works: 1
Step 1
Coat the casting mould with a cooking oil and place it straight on the work surface. For a safe standing position, you could use a towel or a sand bed. Cut the wooden craft sticks into halves.2
Step 2
Now prepare the magnets for the purpose of a further application. Therefore, fix a wooden spatula between two magnets. One of the magnets is going to be poured into the cement molding, the other one is only required for preparation.3
Step 3
Stir 250 g of the jewellery-cement according to the package leaflet and pour it into the prepared casting mould. Notice that the level of the cement will later still vary by placing the magnet. Tap slightly on the molding so that any air bubbles can escape.4
Step 4
Then the prepared wooden spatula with magnets put on the casting mould and place it so that one of the magnets is embedded in the wet cement.5
Step 5
Allow to dry for 24 hours.6
Step 6
Remove the wooden spatula and the upper magnet. The cast object can now be removed by applying a slight pressure onto the back of the casting mould. Clean the casting mould thoroughly with a detergent.7
