Instructions in 8 steps To achieve a natural look, stick a leaf into the casting mould. Place the wick in the middle and pour melted wax pellets directly into it.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Cooking oil, paper towel, leave, Adhesive tape, melting pot for paraffin pellets
And this is how it works: 1
Step 1
In preparation place the casting mould with the curved hollow at the bottom onto a stable surface and place the leave, with the help of the double sided adhesive foil at the desired spot on the inside of the mould. Afterwards oil the complete inside of the mould including the leave with the cooking oil.2
Step 2
Fill a plastic bucket with approximately 45 ml of water and afterwards add small portion of 450 g of creative-cement. Stir the mixture with a wooden craft stick until the mixture is smooth and pourable.3
Step 3
Pour the Mixture into the prepared mould. Let the creative cement rest for 1 – 2 minutes, while carefully knocking against the mould, so that possible air bubbles can escape.4
Step 4
Let it fully harden. The curing time can vary, depending on the size and temperature (best let it harden over night). The bowl is completely hardened and can be used after 1 – 2 days.5
Step 5
Now the hardened object can be demoulded, by turning the mould upside down and pressing the upper edge carefully to he outside, thereby letting air in between mould and creative cement object. If necessary knock the form carefully onto the table, to loosen the candlelight bowl.6
Step 6
Smaller ridges and bumps can easily be removed by sand papering the cement candle holder. Residue of the leave can if necessary be removed with the help of a brush.7
Step 7
For pouring out the cement candlelight bowl with wax, first place the wicker centered into the bowl. Afterwards melt the desired amount of paraffin pellets, in a melting pot and carefully pour it into the bowl. Let it dry thoroughly.8
