Instructions in 4 steps Plastic balls turn into wonderful and unique Christmas baubles with little effort and a bit of colour.
Besides the articles listed below, you also need: Wooden stick or paintbrush handle
And this is how it works: 1
Step 1
Remove the hanger with a cap from the ball and insert a matching wooden stick or paintbrush handle into the opening. Paint the ball completely out with the midnight blue Chalky Finish paint by means of the widest paintbrush from the set. To dry, put the ball in a holding device (e.g. a foam brick). During the process of creation, keep the wooden stick in place inside the ball at all times. For a rich, uniform colour result, apply a second layer of the paint. Allow it to dry well out.2
Step 2
To emphasize the honeycomb-like edges of the ball, use the painting sponge. For this purpose, dab firmly the brilliant gold metallic paint onto an underlay (e.g. a piece of aluminium foil) firmly stretched onto the sponge. Now dab the sponge over the edges with regular movements. If the paint wears off, dip again the painting sponge into the paint and repeat until all edges are golden.3
Step 3
Varnish the dried ball, quickly and evenly, with the Triple Gloss varnish using the thin flat paintbrush from the set. Put the ball vertically into the holding device to dry in order to avoid the paint sagging.4
