Instructions in 16 steps The black & white Miyuki hearts are especially filigree-worked out and fit perfectly into the hoop earring. And this is how it works:
1
Step 1
Thread on successively the Rocailles (see diagram), slide the Rocailles towards the centre of the strand. Then thread back through the last Rocaille (stairstep stitch).A step-by-step instruction can be found in the PDF version of the craft idea. Just download it.
2
Step 2
Repeat until all of the Rocailles are joined together. In order to densify, thread again through the penultimate and the last Rocaille.3
Step 3
Brick stitch: thread on the first Rocaille of the second row and thread it between the Rocailles of the first row.4
Step 4
Thread back through the Rocaille.5
Step 5
Repeat the steps 3 and 4 until the tip of the Heart Charm is threaded.6
Step 6
Thread on the last Rocaille and thread back through the Rocaille that underlies next to the strand.7
Step 7
Thread once more through to densify it, then sew the strand up and cut the rest off.8
Step 8
Thread the upper section of the Heart Charm with the other half of the strand (see diagram).9
Step 9
Thread one side of the heart’s arch.10
Step 10
Thread back.11
Step 11
Thread between two Rocailles with the strand, then thread the other arch.12
Step 12
Thread on seven Rocailles, thread back and then through this loop 3-4 times in order to densify it.13
Step 13
Sew the strand up and cut the rest off. Make another heart.14
Step 14
