Candle moulding - a fun hobby! And an individually designed candle is a wonderful gift to offer on a special occasion.
Candle casting mould, round, flat, ø 7 cm, 10.5 cm high, detailed instructions. A very stable casting-mould, heat-resistant up to 120°C, made of stable, almost unbreakable polycarbonate. After cooling down, the cast candle can be easily demoulded. You need about 400 g of candle wax for this mould. Besides candle wax (e.g. wax pellets), you’ll also need a wick and colour pigments (if desired). The wax has to be heated in a water bath and can be dyed to your liking. Shorten the wick to the required length, thread a double knot into the small hole at the top of the mould, attach the lower end to a wooden skewer or similar and place it over the opening of the mould. Carefully pour in the hot wax. A precise instruction manual is also included in the package. Put the casting mould filled with wax in the fridge before demoulding. Demould after about 30 minutes in the fridge. You’ll also need: candle wax (e.g. wax pellets), flat wick (we recommend flat wick: FD19 – item no.31589000, FD21 – item no.31591000), wooden skewer or a piece of sturdy wire or a long needle. There are many different ways to cast and decorate candles. If you have never poured out candles before, then you should start with an easier version, for e.g. with a harmonious colour gradient from dark to light. After demoulding, you can dip the candle partly into a liquid coloured wax. If you want to use the candle rests for further moulding, you should rinse them thoroughly before melting (remove the wick and soot particles). While casting, many ideas related to this topic will certainly arise. The candle casting moulds are available in different sizes and shapes. Apart from that: the self-made candles are also an amazing gift idea!
